ABOUT D-ZINE...

DJ D-Zine (pronounced "design" not "de-zeen") has been wowing partying crowds with his on point selections and mixes of the funkiest party grooves for over ten years and, with his club work and live/band experience, he takes any club/bar/party to an exhilarating height.

DJ D-Zine is one of that rare breed of DJ's, as anyone who has seen him performing will testify...

HE'S AN ENTERTAINER!

Bringing his experience of performing on stage, as a turntablist (scratch DJ) and rapper/frontman with various bands and performers, D-Zine melts into his sets with the single minded intention of entertaining the crowd. Never known for being one of those ‘head down for two hours’ DJ’s, he plays his selections according to the flow of the people (and clubber requests), mixing and scratching up his favourite music into a set that is hard to predict making it a very lively affair. Club classix from the world of R&B and Hip-Hop bump shoulders with Bashment, classic Funk, Soul and anything else that takes his fancy. His sets can sometimes feel like a journey into the Twilight Zone because just when (you think) you’ve pegged his style he’ll throw one of his Turntable Remixes into the mix to keep his partying crowd on their toes and their eardrums freaking out as they hear the intro of one song leading into the vocals of another throwing together the likes of Amerie with Sean Paul or Sunshine Anderson with Pharrell Williams or even Oasis with Dr Dre.

D-Zine has DJ'ed at some of London's top clubs as well as internationally rocking crowds across Europe, the USA, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan and more. His experiences also include DJ'ing at various festivals, Glastonbury, Reading, Phoenix, London's Urban Games, Denmark's Roskillde, Belgium's Dour, and Spain's Vina Rock Festival, and never one to shy away from a challenge, D-Zine has even DJ'ed a Hip-Hop set as the support act for The Creatures aka Siouxsie And The Banshees.

Guest spots on Radio 1, XFM and Kiss FM lead to him hosting his own radio shows on Prime Time Radio and Street FM and has now landed him firmly in legal radio territory again. His Monday night show, D-ZINE SKOOL, is going from strength to strength. From 7pm 'til 10pm every Monday D-Zine gives you three hours of the best in old skool and new skool HIP-HOP and R&B.

Whether it's a 3 hour radio show, a 2 hour gig or one of his legendary 5 hour sets, D-Zine’s love for what he does never dips. He pushes his live sets so far beyond a simple 'Hip-Hop/R&B' set, (with his Turntable Remixes and sprinklings of Bashment, old skool Garage, Funky House and even pop classics) that a night with D-Zine is not easily forgotten...AND...what you get for free when DJ D-Zine is on the dex is his infectious enthusiasm which adds to the experience to make the crowd move and sing-along. He’s often seen smiling, dancing and singing behind the decks, to the point where you'd be forgiven for thinking he's a paying customer who’s gate-crashed the DJ booth. HE LOVES IT!!
